BIOGRAPHY

Ricardo A. Reyes heads up the Firm’s litigation department. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, representing corporate clients and individuals in a variety of business disputes including construction and real estate litigation, landlord/tenant disputes, and employment matters such as enforceability of restrictive covenants, discrimination, and retaliation. Rick was formerly a partner at Ruden, McClosky prior to co-founding Tobin & Reyes in 1999. He is an experienced trial lawyer who is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Rick has served on numerous Florida Bar committees. 

He is an AV-Preeminent rated attorney and was named to Florida Trend’s “Florida Legal Elite” in 2005, 2010, 2012 and 2018, and has been named a Super Lawyer® every year from 2010. He has been selected by American Registry© as a Top Lawyer in 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018. In 2016, Rick was featured as a distinguished attorney by the South Florida Legal Guide. Rick has also been a member of the Litigation Counsel of America, a trial lawyer honorary society since 2018.

Ricardo “Rick” Reyes is a founding partner of Tobin Reyes and the chairman of the firm’s litigation department. Over the past three decades, Rick has built a reputation as an accomplished trial lawyer, representing corporate clients and individuals in a wide range of complex business disputes including construction and real estate litigation, landlord-tenant disputes, and employment matters such as the enforceability of restrictive covenants, discrimination, and retaliation claims. His litigation expertise has made him a trusted advocate for clients seeking effective legal representation in high-stakes commercial conflicts.

Prior to co-founding Tobin & Reyes in 1999, Rick was a partner at the renowned Florida firm Ruden McClosky. As a seasoned litigator, Ricardo is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, where he has successfully argued on behalf of his clients.

Rick’s legal prowess has earned him numerous accolades throughout his career.
